Follow on Google News | Filmmaker Greg Pitts' Film To Screen At 2013 Northwest Ohio Film FestivalFilmmaker and artist Greg Pitts continues to create by producing his second avant garde black and white film.
By: Lamar Pitts TV, LLC In this black and white film, Greg Pitts uses a fusion of art, sound, and the spoken word to create an auditory and visual feast that fuses the senses in the perception of what defines art. The Art of Sound had its US premier in April at the Langston Hughes Performing Art Center in Seattle, WA during the Langston Hughes African American Film Festival where Mr. Pitts returned as an alumnus of the festival, having screened another of his films there in 2012. It also was recently screened and well received at the 2013 Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival. The Art of Sound explores the manner in which sound resonates. It exemplifies fusion of art with waves of sound. There's nothing else like it. Not only is sound it's own art form, but the art makes sound. @Misti Debonno of Wales (via Twitter) says "Am deeply impressed...You most certainly have a passion." Directed, produced, and written by Greg Pitts, this piece will change your perceptions on life. "Greg Pitts continues to create intriguing experimental work. I liked the combination of sound & images & the way the sound was made while the onscreen character was speaking."- Zola Mumford (Curator of Langston Hughes African American Film Festival) http://www.youtube.com/ "The Art of Sound" will screen at noon on Saturday September 21st at the Veterans Memorial Convention and Civic Center in Lima, OH. The festival website is http://www.nwoff.org End
