Sephira notes the passing of fan and friend Larry Hagman

Nov. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- We were introduced to Larry a few years ago when asked to perform for him and his wife Maj for an afternoon tea at in Co. Wicklow, Ireland. That day was the beginning of a firm friendship and Larry became the "Grandpa" we never had.  

We performed at his 80th birthday party in Santa Monica last year and we will never forget the huge smile on his face when we played his favorite track.  He was so proud to have “discovered” Sephira and was not shy about telling his friends!  On a radio interview, he once described Sephira’s music as “strawberries and cream on a summer’s day!"

Last year, during Larry’s therapy, he called to say that he was listening to Sephira’s holiday album, Starlight on repeat to help with his recovery.  

We are so happy to have had such an impact on Larry’s life because he has left us with memories that we will cherish forever.  He was such a special soul.  He was so charismatic with an amazing gift of being the life and soul of every party.  He loved meeting new people and we always said, watching him with people, he really was the “perfect celebrity."

Larry was so kindhearted and gracious and was grateful for every person and everything in his life.  Our lasting memories of Larry are of an amazing man who shone his light all over the world. We feel so lucky to have known him and to have been a part of his life.

We felt a strange sense of finality when he signed off his last text to us: “Love you girls… Your adoring fan …Larry”

There are few words that can sum up moments like this:  “Larry, we miss you so much and you will always hold a special place in our hearts."

Rest in Peace.
