Local Car Dealer Offers Visitors a Chance to Make Spirits Bright for the Holidays

Dec. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- BANGOR, ME (December 6, 2012) – Darling’s Auto Group announced today that in the spirit of the holidays, it will be launching an Epic Holiday Lights show tonight at 4PM at the Honda Nissan Volvo store on Sylvan Road in Bangor.  The drive-in show features a wide assortment of lights and decorations and will run daily from 4PM to 11PM until New Year’s Day.

The show is choreographed to several seasonal songs, including “Deck the Halls” and two selections from the Nutcracker.  While on the lot, visitors can hear the music by tuning their car stereo to 95.1 FM.  In addition, light show visitors are invited to come in to the dealership for complimentary hot chocolate, coffee and freshly-baked cookies from 4 PM to close of business each day.

“We always try to do something fun this time of year, and in the past we’ve participated in some of the local parades, but we really wanted to do something entertaining that will thrill our customers, friends and neighbors for the entire month, not just an hour,” said Ron Russell, director of Bangor Operations at Darling’s.

The light display includes over 20,222 lights, along with nine reindeer pulling Santa in his sleigh.  “It’s really been a team effort – we came up with the idea about a month ago and since then, we’ve been planning and programming the music and lights and our hardworking maintenance team put up all the lights and decorations,” said Matt Smith, Marketing Manager at Darling’s.  “We’re really excited to be able to put this on and we’re hoping lots of our customers and friends will stop by to check it out and just enjoy the holidays with us.”
