Blackberry Smoke is no stranger to performing, as their schedule includes more than 250 performances each year. The band has recently joined Zac Browns record label, Southern Ground, and has released their first album under this label, “The Whippoorwill”. Performing for nearly a decade together, Blackberry Smoke has released 3 full length albums and toured with many legends such as The Marshall Tucker band, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd and George Jones. With the most recent album release, Blackberry Smoke is seeing the benefits of belonging to a larger label. The band, made up of Richard Turner (vocals/bass), Charlie Starr (guitar/vocals), Brandon Still (keys), Brit Turner (Drums), and Paul Jackson (Guitar/vocals), has successfully and without force, found a way to combine bluegrass, rock, soul and country onto one album. The chemistry of the band on stage is proof that they are very well in tune with each other and know exactly what to do on stage. As Brit Turner states in a recent interview, “We love it, or we wouldn’t do it”.

Opening for Blackberry Smoke is rock band, A Thousand Horses. The band released their first self-titled EP in late 2010 and has since opened shows for Shooter Jennings, performed as part of the Simple Man Cruise 2012, and has opened many times for Blackberry Smoke.

The Bluestone is happy to announce the return of Blackberry Smoke to the Columbus area. Blackberry Smoke opened the show for the Zac Brown Band this past summer in Columbus. The Bluestone, was constructed in 1898 as a Baptist church and after many renovations has transformed into an extraordinary private and public events venue that offers an unparalleled and unique experience for any type of event.
