Follow on Google News | Jennings Kia gears up to do something funny for moneyStaff at a motor dealership in Washington, Tyne and Wear, have pledged their support to this year’s Red Nose Day.
During the six week build up to Red Nose Day, which is scheduled to take place on Friday 15th March 2013, staff at the Parsons Road dealership will be encouraging work colleagues, customers and members of the public to dig deep and take part in a number of fundraising activities. ‘Keep your nose clean’ - which entails making a donation and receiving a car valet, ‘what do you nose about Kia?’ – includes customers being invited to answer a question regarding Kia with those taking part also being in with a chance of winning a cash prize, are just a couple of fundraising activities staff have lined up. In addition to activities for customers to take part in, members of staff have agreed to participate in individual sponsored activities, the most popular being a sponsored sit in a bath of beans! To kick-start the fundraising activity and donations, the sales team donned red wigs and noses and dug deep into their pockets. Steven Flack, franchise manager at the Jennings Kia dealership in Washington, said; “We are delighted to be taking part and supporting this year’s Red Nose Day. It’s going to be a fun-packed six weeks for everyone taking part and we are determined to pull out all the stops and do our bit for such a worthy cause.” Kia Motors (UK) Limited is a Supporting Partner of Red Nose Day 2013. Comic Relief launched Red Nose Day in 1988. Over the years, money raised has been used to transform the lives of people in both the UK and across Africa.
