Ley is a man with musical origins and a multi-instrumentalist who sings about life in America and its people. Dean R. Ley is an immigrant to the United States of America. He came to the U. S. in 1974 for the first time, landing in the Magic City, Miami Florida, where he recorded his first session as a guest musician with Stephen Stills and his band Manassas at the world renowned Criteria Recording Studios. Check out the video on YouTube http://youtu.be/ After seeing what America was all about, and the opportunities available to him to create and produce music, he decided to make the move and come to the country which, in Dean’s own words was the perfect example of power and freedom as well as the perfect environment to achieve his dream in becoming an “American Recording Artist”. Dean has done work in the recording studios and on stage in Europe, Canada and then America with many well-known recording artists such as Stephen Stills, Véronique Sanson, the group Firefall, Victor Willis/Village People, Jon Anderson/Yes, and many more music recording stars. Dean became an in house session musician in 1981 and an in house producer in 1985 at Criteria Recording Studios in Miami. After many years in show business, on the road and recording, producing and writing music for other great performers Dean R. Ley decided to write and produce his own CD album entitled “Due Time”. The album contains over 15 original songs, all with a Southern Rock – Country flair that evokes the spirit and emotions of its audience. Each song has its own particular meaning, touching the hearts and soul of each and every American today regardless of their beliefs, status, race or position. “Due time” was written for the people of America, having in mind all of the troubles and frustrations of our times.
