Charlotte Pet Expo seeking vendors, speakers, demonstrations, publicity partners and more.

Feb. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Charlotte, NC – More than fifty local animal rescue groups and service providers have already signed up to share the spotlight on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Charlotte Pet Expo to be held at the Park Expo Center from 10 AM to 6 PM.

This FREE event features 100+ exhibitors of pet related products, information and services to help them care for their four-legged family members or to adopt a pet responsibly.

Shorty Rossi, star of ‘Pit Boss’ on Animal Planet will be making an appearance with his popular canine sidekick, Hercules. Rossi has a special passion that has been a major part of his life since he was a teenager – championing the cause of pit bulls. When Rossi isn’t managing Shortywood Productions, a company that works with little people in the entertainment industry or filming ‘Pit Boss,’ he’s working with Shorty’s Pit Bull Rescue, a charity he formed that rescues, rehabilitates and places neglected and abused pit bulls in loving, nurturing homes. Shorty’s Rescue is not a shelter or a charity; its employees work tirelessly to help relieve the suffering of and prevent cruelty to pit bulls through education and activism.

Other speakers and activities include an agility course, a pet talent and costume contest, and informational sessions with reputable local animal trainers and veterinarians.

In addition, attendees and their pets will see special guests and demonstrations featured at the 2013 Charlotte Pet Expo; including trainers, groomers, and pet first aid.  Throughout the day there will be door prizes and giveaways for attendees and exhibitors!
