Barton S. Strock Named Short Sale Legal Counsel and Negotiator for Independence Title, Inc.

Feb. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- In his new role, Strock will work with Independence Title, Inc.’s Short Sale Program to develop courses containing a variety of educational and technical content, including industry areas of practice, and state-specific material for Independence’s clients. Strock will also head the short sale negotiation team to ensure that this delicate matter is handled with great care but most of all watched over by an attorney that understands foreclosure law and not only a title insurance processor submitting paperwork on behalf of a customer.

Barton Strock received his Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College in 1971 and his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 1977. He was admitted to practice law in New York in 1978 and Florida in 1978. After serving as a juvenile prosecutor and in the Special Litigation Division for the New York City Corporation Counsel, he moved to Florida in 1979. Prior to joining Strock & Cohen, Zipper, Ferrer Law Group, P.A., Mr. Strock was a partner in London & Strock, P.A. and Law Offices of Barton S. Strock, P.A. He served as President and CEO of one of Florida’s largest title insurance agencies where he participated in over ten thousand real estate closings.

He has previously served on the Board of Trustees of Temple Dor Dorim in Weston. He lectures extensively on matters of real estate law and regularly teaches several classes for realtors on real estate contracts, real estate law, closings, and real estate updates.
