Are Parents Training Kids To Thank People For Gifts? Survey

Feb. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Think back to the last time you sent someone who lives interstate or overseas a gift - did they call, text, facebook, write or email you to say thank you?

Conducted online by gift news blogger Elizabeth Ball, the Thank People For Gifts Survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ThankPeopleForGiftsSurvey asks people to reveal how they feel when they don't get thanked.

"People might be surprised how offended, sad or angry others get when they're not thanked for a birthday gift," said Elizabeth Ball.

"However, many also don't realise that people who are thanked will make even more of an effort with the next gift," she said.

The survey looks at how people prefer to receive a thank you - via email, phone call, handwritten card or text message.

"We look at whether people think parents teach their children to thank others for gifts," Elizabeth Ball said.

"We're also asking them when are children are old enough to thank someone for their gift, when the gift-giver lives interstate or overseas," she said.
