Upcoming Christian Vocalist Maria Breaux Debuts New Single and Music Video “My Child"

March 5, 2013 - PRLog -- HOUSTON—Christian vocalist Maria Breaux debuts her new video off the single "My Child" from her first CD “This Time.”   Breaux wrote the song on her independent label, recorded all the vocals, and wrote the script for the music video. Her oldest son Brandon produced the instrumentals. Breaux believes that musical lyrics feed the mind and she is convinced that illustrations and visual aid make the song come to life.

“I recorded this album because these songs are how God was dealing with me at the time—they still apply today,” Breaux says.

“Further, I want to encourage and uplift people’s spirits—I want to be different. I want to remind people that in Christ we have hope—no need to be discouraged—focus on the power of God not our problems and hard times. I made the music video because that's what the Lord put in my heart to do— to show the world and His people how to not focus on what they're going through, but focus on being faithful and serve God even in the midst of whatever.  Writing and performing in this music video gave me a chance to put my gifts and talents to work for God's glory!”

Breaux is married to Joseph Breaux, Jr. and together they have five wonderful children.  She is the founder and director of a singing group at her church, Living Word Fellowship Church. She’s also one of the worship ministry leaders, sanctuary praise leader, a member of the sanctuary choir, and a singer and song writer who is not obsessed with self. She is gripped by God as her music and music video attests.

“I hope people will be motivated to never give up on God, pray and trust God's word, keep serving and being involved in church, in ministry even when their life is falling apart, when they just don't understand where God is moving them to. I also want people who do not know God to be moved by the words in the video to see their need for God.”

Breaux began shooting the music video on November 18, 2011. “My child” was recorded in Houston, Texas, and most scenes were shot at Living Word Fellowship Church—Dr. Paul Cannings pastor— a friend’s home (Tanya Hudson), the church school library, and four scenes were shot at the home of “the guy behind the camera, Dwight Daniels of Liquid Lens Video Production,” Breaux says.  The last video scene was shot February 2012.

Her debut CD, “This Time” was released in March 2011.  In addition to “My Child,” other songs on the CD include: “This Time”  “Run To You”  “God Is Real” and “I Will Praise You.”  “My Child” is currently in rotation on KTSU FM 90.9 and the video is currently in view on YouTube.

Breaux is most thankful to God and to her husband, to her pastor Paul Cannngs Sr., her little brother who is her best friend Ignatius da Fonseca from Goa, India, Dwight and Steve of Liquid Lens Productions, Rita Hughes, Amaya Parcee, and Taylor Curvey—“my dance choreoghraphers and dancers”—and to “my church family members who participated and help make this video great!”
