By: Realtor Charitable Foundation Holiday party for almost 200 children and were coming up short on donated toys and gifts for the children and teens, they looked to the Charitable Foundation. In true form the foundation stepped up to the plate and presented a gift to each and every child and teen. They have done this for the last 3 years and plan to continue helping as long as they are able. When the foundation learned that some children's families were having difficulty paying the $25 a year membership fee they provided over 100 scholarships for the children so that they could continue going to the club for after school activities, sports, homework help, supervision and a hot evening meal. The Charitable Foundation fills gaps that other organizations can't. The REALTOR® Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale Charitable Foundation was started in 1987 for the purpose of helping those who have specific needs which cannot be met by any other source. Anyone aware of a specific need in the community is requested to contact the Charitable Foundation. Since its inception, the Foundation has helped many members of the Association and the community. It was able to channel over $350,000 for hurricane disaster relief and more than $9,000 was contributed for Tsunami Relief, two children’s playgrounds were built in Broward County, a team of students was sponsored to attend the Special Olympics as well as ongoing contributions for other needs in our communities. The Foundation needs your contributions to continue helping those with special needs. Every contribution you make is significant. The Charitable Foundation is a tax exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and Regulations. Visit http://www.RealtorCharitableFoundation.org for more information. End
