Follow on Google News | Eaton, Hong Kong supports Earth Hour 2013 by “Green Music under the Moon”By: Eaton, Hong Kong Lights Off Ceremony To support the Earth Hour 2013, the hotel has prepared a lights off ceremony (23 March 2013, Sat) at 8:30pm. During the ceremony, lights of hotel corridors, exterior billboards and lightings will be switched off and replaced with environmental friendly organic soy candles. Staffs of Eaton, Hong Kong will work hand in hand to form an event logo “60+” vertical sign with LED candle lights to show their commitments in making the planet better. After the ceremony, there is a live a cappella music performance – “Green Music under the Moon” at T Garden to encourage guests to participate in this meaningful event: “Green Music under the Moon” Live Music Performance A Cappella, a form of music performance which people sing without instruments, is perceived as the most eco-friendly style among all forms of music performance. Local A Cappella group “Lasagna” has chosen 5 songs for our guests includes “Lion Sleeps Tonight”, “Stand By Me” and their award winning songs “Billie Jean” (Michael Jackson), “Born This Way” (Lady Gaga) and “We Are Young” (Fun.). Low Carbon Gourmet – Vegetarian Platter Set HK$128 During the music performance, Executive Chef Martin Yip has prepared a Vegetarian Platter Set which includes a vegetarian platter and a cocktail inspired by the Earth Hour –Lightning. The Vegetarian Platter Set is made by ingredients that freshly farmed locally and in nearby regions this helps to reduce the amounts of carbon emissions generated by transportation and storage of food ingredients. Inspired by the event, our bartender has created a cocktail named Lightning (Vodka, peppermint liqueur, pineapple juice). With a strong scent of vodka, a crisp and refreshing minty taste mixed with fresh pineapple aroma, the exciting taste of Lightning and its bright colour under the dark will surely surprised you. “We are so happy to see the success of “Earth Hour” in these years.
