Whether your motivations are personal or professional, learning to entertain with style, savvy and sophistication is a vital part of your professional and personal life. Dress for Success Miami, along with Toro Toro and SFG Magazine, are hosting a fabulous and informative Eatiquette dinner on Wednesday, April 24, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Sonia Jacobson, local etiquette expert and founder of Suited for Success and Dress for Success Miami, will guide you through the do’s and don’ts of etiquette. For the April Eatiquette dinner, DFS Miami has partnered with the region’s new must-try dining destination, Toro Toro by renowned, international chef-restaurateur Richard Sandoval. Housed on the main lobby level of the InterContinental Miami, Toro Toro, which officially opened to the public in October 2012, is Sandoval’s creative Pan-Latin interpretation of a contemporary steakhouse. The menu is varied, featuring a selection of carefully curated small plates, steaks and seafood entrees served a-la-carte and a sizzling array of meats carved tableside rodizio-style. Perfect for downtown Miami’s cocktail crowd, the restaurant features a buzz-worthy bar, emphasizing craft cocktails made with ultra-premium Latin spirits. This sophisticated and sexy concept is modeled after Sandoval’s Dubai Toro Toro, which was named “Best Latin” and “Best New Restaurant” by Time Out shortly after opening in mid-2012. The spectacular evening will commence with a welcome champagne reception and passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by a tantalizing four-course dinner. Dishes will include Toro Toro’s signature ahi tuna ceviche nikkei, fresh Homestead Farms baby greens salad, succulent filet mignon and heavenly flourless hazelnut chocolate cake with sour cream ice cream and apricot compote. Dinner will be paired with red or white wine. Eatiquette combines gourmet food and professional growth for a great cause. The event was created for professionals and social connoisseurs at all levels in their careers, and covers everything from silverware to splitting bills to global customs. Attendees will come away feeling confident and ready for their next business meal or social gathering. A portion of the proceeds from every ticket goes to Dress for Success Miami, supporting its job training and retention programs for low-income Miami-Dade residents. Tickets are $95 per person or $150 per couple. Price includes taxes and gratuity. Toro Toro is located at the InterContinental Miami, 100 Chopin Plaza, Miami. FL 33131. Valet parking will be available for $10.
