Nacogdoches Generating Facility is Named Best Biomass Project in 2012

BEAUMONT, Texas - March 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Zampell Companies - Nacogdoches Generating Facility, owned by Southern Companies, was named the Best Biomass Project in 2012 by Power Engineering Magazine.  The facility has the capacity to generate 100MW through the combustion of non-merchantable wood products in a single boiler.  The bubbling fluidized bed (BFB) boiler is the largest BFB in the world.  The facility was commissioned in June of 2012.
