DALLAS - April 1, 2013 - PRLog -- The Legacy Willow Bend recently hosted a traditional Seder for more than 100 members and their families on the second night of Passover. Cary Rossel, executive committee board member and past chair of The Legacy Senior Communities, led the group in prayers and songs.

“We are proud to honor our members and their families with a traditional Seder on the second night of Passover,” said Rossel. “We come together to celebrate one of the most important times in history – the Exodus from Egypt. The purpose of Seder is to teach our children and the generations to come about the importance of remembering our history and the significance of the Jews of that time.”

The Legacy members and staff had the chance to participate in the service by reading the story of Passover from the Haggadah. The Legacy also welcomed a pre-Bar Mitzvah child who for the first time recited the 4 questions in Hebrew.

The traditional Seder meal included gefilte fish, matzo ball soup, slow roasted beef brisket, flourless chocolate almond cake, and lemon sponge cake all prepared by Legacy Chef, Jeff Rosenhoover, and his team.

“Passover is a holiday that brings families together, and it is important to us to provide a meaningful experience for our members and their families and guests,” said Michael Ellentuck, president of The Legacy Senior Communities. “The sharing of the traditional Passover Seder is enjoyed by all and is a holiday that we all look forward to celebrating together.”
