Follow on Google News | Viva Las Vegas for Nottingham duoTwo members of staff from Nottingham’s top entertainment venue were given the trip of a lifetime having smashed their sales targets.
By: Empica Ltd Regarded as being one of the top tourist destinations in the world, Rebecca and Lauren were able to take in the sights and sounds that has made the Nevada-based city a popular haunt for those looking for a good time and included the famous 4.2 mile Las Vegas Strip and spectacular outdoor displays of the Bellagio fountains and volcano at The Mirage. With the popular Nottingham night spot being owned by the Ceasars Entertainment Group, Las Vegas seemed like the logical choice for venue director Mark Hands who set the duo the arduous sales targets. Undeterred however, Rebecca and Lauren were determined to make sure they got on the plane and set about putting in place the strategy and plans that would secure Alea’s position as the East Midlands’ leading entertainment venue. Rebecca said: “Our main focus was to make Alea one of the city’s top places for an evening out so the trip to Vegas was a lovely bonus. “However, we were both really determined to beat the targets set. Once there we had an absolutely fabulous time taking in the amazing sights and sounds and seeing Absinthe at Caesers Palace.” Some of the things Rebecca and Lauren have been heavily involved with included the launch of a new Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, introduction of glamorous shows like the Bollywood Extravaganza, new classes such as Samba dancing and regular live music all of which has helped draw in people who wouldn’t necessarily have been to the venue before. Lauren added: “We’ve had a lot of fun thinking up new ideas and organising the various events and activities at the venue and we never really set out to do them just to go on this amazing trip. “What we’ve done is give people a reason to come here and enjoy themselves on a number of different levels and proves that if you’re prepared to work hard you will get the rewards.” Mark Hands added: “Rebecca and Lauren totally deserved this. When I started at Alea my key objectives were to develop each member of my team therefore investing in the future foundations of the business, to re-launch the food and beverage outlets and create a venue perception rather than just a Casino. “I’m pleased to say that with the help of both Rebecca and Lauren we have achieved all of these goals which has been reflected in the sales.” For further information please visit http://nottingham.aleacasinos.com or call 0115 871 9860.
