CHICAGO - May 10, 2013 - PRLog -- One of Chicago’s most notable locations for family friendly fun will also be the premiere spot for watching fireworks this Fourth of July. Set to begin at 9 p.m., the fireworks at Navy Pier (http://www.conciergepreferred.com/navy-pier-fireworks/4135-navy-pier-fireworks.html) will be the most prominent and well-executed display in the Chicago area. The event will cost no extra admission to attendees, and will be easy to catch, not just at the pier, but up and down Chicago’s magnificent lakefront as well.

There are some good reasons to catch the show at the pier though, even beyond the exceptional view. World famous Navy Pier didn’t get to be one of Chicago’s top tourist attractions for nothing. With outstanding food, shops, and other possibilities for fun, like the famous Ferris wheel, Navy Pier is sure to be bustling with July 4th. Many locals and tourists alike will surely be there early to take in the sights and sounds of the famous pier before the pyrotechnics start.

For those who want to guarantee an extra special view on the Fourth of July there will be multiple cruises launching from Navy Pier (http://www.conciergepreferred.com/component/k2/4131-navy-...). Taking a ride out onto lake Michigan on a luxurious cruise line is sure to be a night to remember for anyone celebrating Independence day because of the unobstructed view of the fireworks display set in front of the iconic Chicago skyline.  It’s also a way to avoid the crowds that will undoubtedly swarm the lakefront and Navy Pier to get a glimpse of the show.

If making it to Chicago’s lakefront isn’t a possibility on the Fourth, there’s little reason to be upset. The Fourth of July display is actually one of many that will be occurring at the pier this summer. The other displays will begin on May 25 and end on August 31, occurring every Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. and Saturday at 10:15 p.m. during that time.
