By: Emergency Communications Network Delaware County EMA, which services nearly 170,000 citizens in Delaware, OH, has been utilizing the CodeRED high-speed notification system since 2008, in addition to the CodeRED IPAWS interface since late last year when the county became an authorized Collaborative Operating Group (COG). “I see that WEA, through IPAWS, is very complementary to CodeRED. Using both, the citizen has better potential to be notified of an emergency in the area. And having the one source – CodeRED - to be able to launch to our database of citizens and those who may be passing through the area is a great feature,” Miller said. The free webinar will be led by IPAWS Program Manager Manny Centeno and is free of charge.
