Major Indie Award Programs Grant Six Awards to Revolutionary Independent Publisher’s Books

Forgiving Waters, a novel by Kenneth Capps (http://www.kennethlcapps.com/), secured the top prize in the First Novel (under 80,000 words) category of the Indie Book Awards. Elena Stowell's Flowing with the Go: A Jiu-Jitsu Journey of the Soul (http://shop.boutiqueofqualitybooks.com/Flowing-With-the-G...) is receiving a finalist award in the Inspirational category. Her book also received a silver eLit Award, recognizing excellence in digital publishing.  Flowing with the Go is a raw and moving nonfiction book about a mother's unique and powerful way of coping with the unexpected death of her daughter.

Gretta Parker’s The $7.50 Bunny that Changed the World (http://www.grettaparker.com/) is placing in two separate categories, with her story of a rescue bunny impressing the judges in both the Pets/Animals category and the Children's/Juvenile Non-Fiction category.

Gretta Parker and Kenneth Capps will be traveling to New York City during Book Expo America to accept their prizes on May 29 at the official awards reception. They will also appear for book signings at BEA booth 1215 on May 30. Dr. Amber French, Kari Morris, and Elena Stowell will send a representative from BQB to accept awards on their behalf.
