WASHINGTON - July 31, 2013 - PRLog -- Rude Awakenings, a political thriller by Keith M. Donaldson, is about what it would be like to see the election of a Centrist presidential ticket.

Centrist Party President Mike Macdonald is awakened by the words, “Sir, there’s been a nuclear explosion.” Before he can blink, his agenda revolving around a carefully crafted financial, economic, and social renewal program for America has gone up in smoke. Millions of American citizens have been slaughtered and displaced. His vice president, former Independent Governor Bryanna Dudley, was immediately flown away from DC on Air Force Two and would organize a massive mobilization operation from 40,000 feet.

Macdonald must hold the government together, but in the midst of dealing with untold aspects of the bombing’saftermath and searching for terrorists responsible, a global currency manipulation begins devaluing the US dollar. As the country’s plight rapidly deteriorates, Macdonald creates an international financial scam that must work.

Donaldson penned this work of fiction in late 2009, placing the story in 2013.  Declared “prescient and clairvoyant,” Donaldson says, “unfortunately many of the disastrous social, financial, governmental events, and life elements that made up the premise for Rude Awakenings have mostly come true over these past four years. I am certainly glad that a nuking as portrayed in Rude did not occur, but terrorism has grown: spread around the world and diminished America’s world stature. I took the position that radical change was necessary for the United States to ever regain its senses and greatness.”

Donaldson’s books, Death of an Intern (http://www.amazon.com/Death-Intern-Keith-M-Donaldson/dp/1...), Senate Cloakroom Cabal (http://www.amazon.com/Senate-Cloakroom-Cabal-Thriller-ebo...), and Rude Awakenings (http://www.amazon.com/RUDE-AWAKENINGS-Americas-Shattered-...) are available through BQB’s online store, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, or your favorite independent bookseller.
