The SEROP Cosmetology program is an introduction to Cosmetology. The students learn basic Cosmetology subjects such as manicuring, pedicuring, make-up, eyelash application, facials, braiding, hairstyling, thermal styling, nail art, artificial nails and hair color while they attend high school. To win an award, the student must be nominated by teacher of the ROP class. Once a student is nominated the student submits a portfolio, and an SEROP committee determines the winners. Each district has 5,000 students that take SEROP classes. SEROP student and high school student at Norwalk High School, Natalie Ramos, won the bronze award for Outstanding Student Recognition.
