Leading Cardiologist Joins Obesity Fight with Celebrity Trainer Cara Castronuova

MANHATTAN, N.Y. - May 21, 2013 - PRLog -- NEW YORK, NY – Recognized Cardiologist Dr. Suzanne Steinbaum has joined Celebrity Fitness Expert Cara Castronuova in her fight against obesity.  The attending cardiologist and Director of Women and Heart Disease at Lenox Hill Hospital has signed on as a special guest for Castronuova’s Dance-a-Thin™, fitness fundraising event, on Saturday, June 1, 2013.

“It’s such a great honor to have Dr. Steinbaum as a special guest for KnockOut Obesity’s Dance-a-Thin™ event,” said Castronuova.  “Having her further stress to the public the importance of nutritious and healthy life choices is priceless.”

With a career devoted to the treatment of heart disease, Steinbaum has become a leading voice in educating the public to early detection, prevention and lifestyle management specifically for women.  In her book, Dr. Suzanne Steinbaum’s Heart Book: Every Woman’s Guide to a Heart Healthy Life, the cardiologist teaches all women how to live healthy lives from the heart.

The first annual Dance-a-Thin™ welcomes participants to have fun and dance the night away in the name of charity. The event will be a fun time for groups of friends, family and coworkers.  All proceeds will benefit Castronuova’s KnockOut Obesity, Inc., a foundation dedicated to helping women and children make healthy lifestyle choices.  

Dance-a-Thin™ will be held on the campus of Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY from 7pm-11pm.  Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
