Get Kids Movin’ Childhood Obesity Prevention Tour at National Harbor, Maryland June 30

OXON HILL, Md. - June 10, 2013 - PRLog -- (National Harbor, MD) – Hundreds of families will kick-off their summer at Get Kids Movin’ from 1 to 5 p.m. June 30 at National Harbor, MD. Get Kids Movin’, presented by Sports Zone Elite and Think Brown INK, is an interactive afternoon that fights childhood obesity by engaging youth in music, fitness, entertainment, health and arts-related activities. About Get Kids Movin!

Ten-year-old Chi Chi Monet, a recording artist, cheerleader, gymnast and dancer grew frustrated with the alarming rates of childhood obesity among her peers. Armed with information from the Obama Administration's "Let's Move" initiative, she decided to a create song called "Move" to inspire youth to be healthy. During the fall of 2012, Chi Chi joined forces with Sports Zone Elite and Think Brown INK to create a tour that would combine fitness, music, fashion and sports to reinforce a lifestyle of health.
