By: The Bluestone Lewis transitioned into the country music industry in 2011 with his debut country EP album, “Town Line”, later to top the Billboard Country charts and reach the number seven spot on the Billboard Top 200. The released EP held award winning song, “Country Boy”, the hit single that earned Lewis two Academy of Country Music nominations for “Vocal Event of the Year”. Lewis also earned two CMT nominations, “USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year” and “Collaborative Video of the Year”. The success and positivity from his break into the country, lead to his November 2012 release of his first country album, “The Road”. Currently, Lewis is balancing both his country solo tour and the release of the seventh album from group, Staind. Blackberry Smoke is no stranger to performing, as their schedule includes more than 250 performances each year. The band has recently joined Zac Browns record label, Southern Ground, and has released their first album under this label, “The Whippoorwill” Preceding Aaron Lewis and Blackberry Smoke, self-described soulful-funk- Matt Mason broke his way into the country industry in 2006 when he made top 10 on the USA Network’s Nashville Star. After placing fourth in the competition, Mason opted to audition for CMT’s Next Superstar 2011 and took the title Also opening the show is country music artist and songwriter, Cliff Cody. Cody signed his first publishing contract in 2005 with EMI and since has co-wrote many songs for various artists from Julie Roberts to Josh Thompson to his longtime hero, D. Vincent Williams, for which he co-wrote “Down by the River”, the first single on Williams’ album. Cody took part in the Key West Songwriters Festival in 2006 and has now become a regular performer in that area. The Bluestone is honored to have the opportunity to host this outstanding lineup on the infamous Legend Valley Music Center’s stage located near Buckeye Lake in Central Ohio. Legend Valley Music Center has become the home of many large music shows since it opened in the early 1970’s. When they began booking show, they brought some of the largest acts to Central Ohio such as: Alabama, Hank Williams Jr., and also what became one of the largest and best stops on the Grateful Dead tour.
