Guests will be able to order food directly from the kitchen, which will offer the highly anticipated Tavern Fare - a menu exclusively developed by World of Beer to complement the craft beer offerings. “We’d like to thank the city of Jacksonville for giving us this opportunity to create new jobs for area residents,” said Tony Vera, General Manager of WOB Jacksonville. “We are happy to offer an atmosphere where guests feel comfortable meeting and mingling while enjoying the very best craft beer selection in Jacksonville; The fast-growing franchise recently developed their ‘Tavern Fare’ menu, complete with tavern-style favorites including soft pretzels, flatbreads and brats. The items on the new menu embody the craft-style experience and pair well with the collection of brews available at World of Beer. Much of the fare uses different types of craft beer in the recipes, making this menu unique and appreciative of the WOB culture. Vera has been with World of Beer Franchising, Inc. for two years, seeing it grow immensely from the second WOB location in Sarasota. He looks forward to opening day of the 42nd WOB location and partnering with local breweries such as Intuition, Bold City, River City, Green Room, Engine 15, Pinglehead, and Aardwolf. World of Beer Jacksonville will host monthly brewery nights and spotlights, tap takeovers and beer-centric events celebrating Belgian Independence Day, WOBoween, WOBtoberfest and more. Happy Hour will be held Monday-Friday from 2-7pm with $1 off all drafts and wine by the glass. Weekly promotions include, Monday: Service Industry Night and Health Care Appreciation with half off all drafts from open-close, Tuesday: Loyalty Card Night with 25% off all bottles from open-close, Wednesday: WOB University Night with half off all drafts for faculty and students from open-close and Thursday: Military Night with half off select drafts and wines from open-close. The ‘WOB Culture’ is unlike any other. The specially trained staff has completed an extensive, two-week beer school, and are on-hand to guide customers through the World of Beer experience centered around a global menu of beverages, live music and televised sports. WOB steadily rewards its customers by offering a Loyalty Club Program that enables them to earn points on trying different beers. Guests earn one point for every different beer purchased at WOB, gaining them access, appreciation and rewards. The program is available to all guests, and is easily accessible through the app (available for iPhone and Android smartphones) WOB was founded in Tampa, FL in 2007. Currently, 42 taverns are open in 14 states (FL, AL, VA, TX, WI, OH, IL, NC, GA, AZ, CO, SC, MI and WA). Locations to soon follow are Ann Arbor, MI, Katy, TX and Baltimore, MD.
