Medical Staffing Network and B95.5 Announce July “Nurse of the Month” Winner

The contest, which the Company co-sponsors with local radio station B95.5, honors exceptional local nurses. This month’s Nurse of the Month winner is Amy Slurff, RN, who works in the Operating Room at Ellis Medicine’s Ellis Health Center in Schenectady, NY. Amy was nominated by her daughter, Emily, who said, “…she is a very hardworking and dedicated nurse. She always puts her patients first no matter what. She was a single parent while in nursing school. She was raising me on top of having a 4.0 GPA in nursing school. She is truly an inspiration to anyone who thinks it is too late for them to go back to school. She works hard every day to make sure her patients are cared for in the best way. She is one of the most caring, intelligent, hardworking people I know. She most definitely deserves to be your nurse of the month.”

Nurse of the Month Contest prizes were presented to Amy by Anita Vitallo, Regional Vice President of Medical Staffing Network and Chad O’Hara, Programing Director and afternoon drive host of B95.5. Amy’s prizes included dinner at Carmine’s Italian Grill, Regal Cinemas movie passes, a VISA gift card and a $100 gift card to Lodge’s Scrubs Store.
