2014 Ram 1500 Gets Available Best-in-Class Fuel Efficiency and Impressive Performance

In addition to its high-performance capabilities, the 2014 Ram 1500 is the first pickup in its segment to offer Fuel Saver Technology with a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, sophisticated stop-start technology, a thermal management system, pulse-width modulation, and much more.

The new segment-exclusive air suspension system on the 2014 Ram 1500 replaces the old-fashioned coil suspension systems found in other pickups in this class. This new system helps to stabilize big payloads by increasing or decreasing air pressure delivered to the suspension based on how much cargo weight is on the truck.
