LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. - July 3, 2013 - PRLog -- The team at Libertyville Chevrolet (http://www.libertyvillechevrolet.com/why-us/) is pleased to announce that Chevy has been recognized in the J.D. Power & Associates Initial Quality Survey, which polls consumers about problems during the first 90 days of vehicle ownership. 83,000 purchasers and lessees answered the survey and Chevrolet landed at fifth place, surrounded mostly by luxury manufacturers. Out of 26 segments, Chevrolet landed in first place in five of them — that’s more first place finishes than any other brand.

The big news from the Initial Quality Survey this year was a change in methodology. While mechanical quality has widely evened out among automakers, quality of design and interaction has not. This is the first survey in 27 years to take into account consumer reactions to technology and interior comfort. While other brands were slammed for their inability to create practical and intuitive user interfaces for new information and communications technology, Chevrolet excelled. Chevy’s MyLink system provides intuitive controls that allow drivers to access all the features easily and efficiently.

“Customer satisfaction and quality are our top priority, so these results mean a lot to us,” said Chris Perry, vice president of Chevrolet Marketing. “We will continue to listen and learn from our customers as a way to improve quality even faster on all cars, trucks and crossovers that wear the Chevrolet bowtie.”

The Chevrolet vehicles that took home segment awards or were segment leaders included:

    •    The 2013 Chevy Camaro (http://www.libertyvillechevrolet.com/new-inventory/camaro/) was first in the midsize sporty segment.

    •    The Impala was first in the large car segment.

    •    The Tahoe was first in the large crossover utility vehicle segment.

    •    The Avalanche was first in the large light duty pickup segment.

    •    The Spark placed second in the city car segment.

    •    The Equinox placed third in the compact sport utility segment.

    •    The Silverado LD ranked third in the large light duty pickup segment.
Interested buyers can find out more about any of these vehicles at Libertyville Chevrolet, which is located at 1001 S. Milwaukee Ave. in Libertyville, IL (http://www.libertyvillechevrolet.com/contact-us/).
