NextEra Energy Services to Offer Electricity Services to Illinois Schools in 2014

HOUSTON - July 13, 2013 - PRLog -- HOUSTON, Texas (July 9, 2013) – The Illinois Energy Consortium (http://illec.org/) (IEC) and NextEra Energy Services Illinois, LLC (NES) today  announced  a partnership to provide electricity to approximately 400 school districts beginning June 1, 2014.  

“The IEC was created more than 12 years ago by the Illinois Association of School Boards, Illinois Association of School Administrators and Illinois Association of School Business Officials,” explained Gary Grizaffi, IEC president and assistant superintendent at Valley View CSD 365-U in Romeoville, Illinois. “The non-profit is charged with obtaining competitive electricity and natural gas suppliers for schools and public agencies in Illinois. We are very pleased that our partnership with NextEra Energy Services will accomplish this goal and bring more choices and highly competitive prices to Illinois schools and public agencies.”
