Android 4.2.2 Update Now Available For The HTC One In The UK

The update brings the latest currently available version of the Google owned operating system to the popular device, replacing its default Android 4.1 Jellybean OS.

This week, GSM Arena reported that after several weeks of waiting, owners of the HTC One in the UK, as well as Spain and Ireland are now able to download and install the update onto the handset. The update will bring a number of bug fixes and performance optimisations to the HTC One, along with a welcome package of new features to the already feature packed smartphone.

The huge 416.5MB file size of the update demonstrates that there are plenty of changes as a result of installing Android 4.2.2 Jellybean onto the HTC One. The official changelog includes launcher bar enhancement, widget panel rearrangement, new lock screen style widget, enhanced home button behaviour, battery percentage is now shown in the status bar and 12 new default settings have been added to the quick settings panel. The phone’s innovative HTC Zoe feature now includes better file management options, and six extra themes have been added to the video highlights feature.
