HTC One Mini Goes Official, Features Revealed

July 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Following several months of speculation, the HTC One Mini has finally been announced by the Taiwanese manufacturer. We expect the device to be a popular choice on account of the success of its flagship counterpart, the HTC One which has remained one of the most sought after smartphone models throughout 2013, clocking up millions of sales and widespread critical acclaim.

As its name suggests, the HTC One Mini will essentially be a smaller variant of the standard HTC One, and will include a number of downgraded specifications but is likely to be offered a more affordable price tag. GSM Arena has recently reported on the full details of the handset and its specifications. The majority of its features coincide with previously leaked information and rumours over recent weeks.

Key features of the handset will include a 4.3 inch S-LCD2 display with a resolution of 720p and will be protected from scratches by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device will see a slight downgrade to its processor, with a dual-core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1 GB of RAM. Unfortunately, no micro SD slot is included but the 16 GB of internal storage should be ample for the needs of most users. The device runs Android 4.2.2 Jellybean as its operating system in conjunction with HTC Sense 5.0 UI, and will include many of the same software features as the full sized HTC One, such as BlinkFeed. The HTC One Mini will sport the same camera as that of the HTC One, with a resolution of 4 Ultrapixels, and will also incorporate 1080p video capture, LED flash and HTC Zoe feature.
