FCP to raise funds to serve the poor, provide employment and assist other NPOs become financially secure.
By: Chairman of FCP, Christopher Desloge The Foundation for Commercial Philanthropy also serves other nonprofit organizations, especially those in the formative stages, in building up their financial support through a process we call "Development Development" An extension of Mr. Christopher Desloge's long-term work with non-profits, and his national experience with major funding programs, The Foundation for Commercial Philanthropy concept is to develop permanent and sustainable funds to serve the poorest in our communities through community-based, non-profit business which provide living-wage employment delivering goods and services that the public desires, and which serve the buying public by giving them a non-profit choice. Following the example of local community cafe's, restaurants, bakeries and food stores, The Foundation For Commercial Philanthropy will generate reliable and important money from business directly in the local community. Each business location will be 100% non-profit. 100% net proceeds will go directly to programs and services to serve the poor in the community. According to Mr. Desloge, “Advocating also means Innovating. By providing a living wage to our workers, providing essential community needs to the public, by providing the buying public with a choice of where their money ultimately goes, we serve the best of the human heart. The Foundation For Commercial Philanthropy provides a valuable community resource and purpose by being the source for the public seeking a philanthropic retail or business experience for their daily needs, for employees to serve both the public and serve those in need, and for the poor in the community to find relief.” Mr. Desloge also included, “Most NPO's come into existance with the heart and spirit of its founders, but struggle for financial security. Not unlike a commercial business, a nonprofit organization faces a dreaded fiscal "valley of death" before it can be sustained by ongoing operations and more mature, robust development. Most often, this initial fiscal valley can be readily healed by following the mentoring and the plan structure of FCP's "Development Development" The Foundation for Commercial Philanthropy was started by Christopher D Desloge whose experienced includes past Chairman of Disaster Operations for the American Red Cross St. Louis Bi-State Chapter, where he managed mass care, disaster health, first aid, communications, logistics, damage assessment, and disaster shelter management. As a team member, he also assisted in the design and orchestration of long-range strategic plan for enhanced disaster service delivery. Mr. Desloge also has served on the board of directors of Center for Head Injury Services (St. Louis), St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute, the International Hildreth Meiere Association (Connecticut/ In this way, Mr. Desloge can bring not just the corporate management to this non-profit, but also his keen sensitivity to the plight of the poorest in our community. Based on this career of non-profit leadership, Mr. Desloge had long sought the best way for non-profits to achieve financial stability and sustainability without the liabilities of being beholden entirely to outside donors and grantors. The Foundation for Commercial Philanthropy will utilize its unique new business model to raise serious funds to serve the poor. FCP serves the Customer, and then turns around and serves the poor. The Foundation for Commercial Philanthropy will fund programs and services for the community of the poor in areas of shelter, food, medicines, transportation, child care, elderly care, and more. Everyday, the poor awake to no food, or electricity. The working poor, living and working right with us, have little to sustain their bodies and health. The new poor, those who have been reduced into poverty for the first time, struggle to face the fear of not providing for their family. We see the poor as our clients. We see the face of God in the poor, and we believe that we are showing the face of God to them too. The net proceeds from even one single cafe and bakery shoppe could provide over $100,000 to serve the poor in the community. The Foundation for Commercial Philanthropy will operate in Missouri, Connecticut and New York initially, and then expand nationally to every major US city. The IRS 501 c 3 status has been applied for. The leadership of The Foundation for Commercial Philanthropy is augmented by the expertise in business management by Madaket Growth, LLC, a holding company engaged in the ownership and leadership of various business in numerous sectors. Three percent of all profits from Madaket Growth (and each underlying company) are earmarked for charitable purposes. The Foundation for Commercial Philanthropy shall also be supported through Madaket Growth. For additional information, please contact: Christopher Desloge at info@commercialphilanthropy.org End
