American Paper & Twine Announces Teacher of the Week - Week One

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Sept. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- “Our partnership with the Tennessee Titans, Titans Radio and Georgia Pacific Communication Papers allows us an opportunity to recognize outstanding teachers throughout the Titans Radio listening area,” said Karen Shaffer, Vice President of American Paper and Twine Co. “We are delighted to honor Mr. Voss as our first recipient for this season.”

Each week during the Titans’ season, submissions are reviewed to find exceptional

teachers. The winning teachers receive a $400 gift basket full of supplies for their classroom, and a new winner is announced every Tennessee Titans game. At the end of the season a ‘Teacher of the Year’ is selected from the Teacher of the Week winners. This deserving teacher will receive an award, a gift basket of school supplies (worth approx. $800) and tickets to the December 29th game vs. the Houston Texans.

“Mr. Voss makes history come alive for his students and encourages them to become better educated about current events and discuss and share their opinions,” said Beverly Richardson, middle school parent. “Teaching is a called profession, and Mr. Voss certainly has the calling and is a great teacher!”
