American Paper & Twine Co. Announces The Fifth Teacher of the Week For The 2016 Titans Season

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Oct. 24, 2016 - PRLog -- American Paper & Twine Co., the Tennessee Titans and Georgia-Pacific Communication Papers announced Mrs. Jennifer Dye from Pope John Paul II High School in Hendersonville, Tennessee, was selected as Teacher of the Week for the Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans game.

"Our partnership with the Tennessee Titans and Georgia-Pacific Communication Papers allows us the opportunity to recognize outstanding teachers throughout the region and the Titans Radio listening area," said Karen Doochin Vingelen, Vice President of American Paper and Twine Co. "We are delighted to honor Mrs. Dye as this week's recipient."

Mrs. Dye was nominated by Pope John Paul II parent Michelle Barber, who said, "Mrs. Dye is the head of the Science Department and developed the entire curriculum, extra-curricular/contest opportunities and the newly established INNOV8 program (a trimester pre-college experience in the humanities and sciences with internship placement in Davidson and Sumner County). She has been named twice as the National Science Educator of the Year." Mrs. Barber continued, "Jennifer's commitment transcends the classroom and the laboratory. She really cares about the health and well-being of her students and she is all about assisting her students in setting them on the trajectory of a successful future."

Each home game during the Titans' season, submissions are reviewed to find exceptional teachers. The winning teachers receive a gift basket full of supplies for their classroom and two tickets to see a Tennessee Titans home game. A new winner is announced for every Tennessee Titans home game and at the end of the season a 'Teacher of the Year' is selected. This deserving teacher will receive an award, a deluxe gift basket of school supplies and tickets to the December 11th Titans game vs. the Denver Broncos.
