American Paper & Twine Co. Announces The Sixth Teacher Of The Week For The 2016 Titans Season

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nov. 11, 2016 - PRLog -- American Paper & Twine Co., the Tennessee Titans and Georgia-Pacific Communication Papers announced Mr. Terry Williamson from Stevenson Middle School in Stevenson, Alabama, was selected as Teacher of the Week for the Green Bay Packers vs. Tennessee Titans game.

"This season, we have received hundreds of nominations from across the region and we could not be more excited to present Mr. Williamson the Teacher of the Week award," said Lonnie Spivak, eCommerce and Marketing Manager for American Paper & Twine. "We wish him continued success as he teaches Science and Technology to the students of Stevenson Middle School."

Mr. Williamson was nominated by Principal Rob Paradise. "Terry Williamson is the perfect example of what is "right" about public education," Paradise said. "Terry teaches an average of 150 students every day where effective Science instruction demands the use of multiple resources from the lab to the regular classroom. Without fail, his lessons are organized and effective. To make this happen, he is often the only person to beat me (the Principal) to school, and he is here many days an hour early and stays late when needed."

Principal Paradise continued, "Terry volunteers his time in the summer to lead our Robotics team. He gets no pay for coaching the Robotics team and not enough recognition, but goes the extra mile to make Robotics possible at our school. Last year the Robotics team placed 1st in Alabama's ZERO Robotics competition at NASA. This year they placed 3rd. If you asked any teacher in this building who would deserve this award, you would find 100% would unequivocally say Terry Williamson."

Each home game during the Titans' season, submissions are reviewed to find exceptional teachers. The winning teachers receive a gift basket full of supplies for their classroom and two tickets to see a Tennessee Titans home game. A new winner is announced for every Tennessee Titans home game and at the end of the season a 'Teacher of the Year' is selected. This deserving teacher will receive an award, a deluxe gift basket of school supplies and tickets to the December 11th Titans game vs. the Denver Broncos.
