Carol Patterson (http://www.zdlaw.com/c-patterson.php), a Senior Partner with Zetlin & De Chiara LLP, advises clients on dispute resolution, contracts, business organizational issues and risk management strategies. She represents prominent national and international firms in litigation and transactions relating to the design and construction of major office and residential buildings, performing arts centers, museums, hospitals, educational institutions, transportation facilities and infrastructure projects.  Carol regularly counsels owners, developers, engineers, architects, contractors and other parties in the construction industry. Carol is consistently recognized by Chambers USA and Super Lawyer Magazine as a leading attorney in construction law. She frequently speaks on various topics relating to the design and construction industries and has lectured at the New York University Real Estate Institute, Columbia University School of Engineering, and Polytechnic University.  She is a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers and a past president of the Association of Real Estate Women.

Timothy Hegarty (http://www.zdlaw.com/t-hegarty.php) is a Partner with Zetlin & De Chiara LLP resident in the New Jersey office. He focuses his practice in the area of construction law and litigation with an emphasis on construction claims, arbitration, mediation, surety law, and contracts. For more than 15 years, Tim has litigated construction cases in federal and state courts. He regularly counsels owners, developers, engineers, architects, construction managers and trade contractors regarding the drafting and negotiation of complex construction contracts and the prevention and resolution of large construction claims for projects located across the United States and internationally. Prior to attending law school, Tim worked as an engineer on complex construction projects and developed a keen ability to read and understand plans and specifications - a skill that gives him a unique strategic advantage in evaluating claims and preventing and resolving disputes. He serves as an adjunct professor at Columbia University in the Construction Administration graduate program, where he teaches "Legal Issues in Building Construction." He is General Counsel to the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Jersey.
