'Audio Book Single' a Tale of Lenny the Lobster hits iTunes, Amazon and CDBaby

BELVIDERE, Ill. - Oct. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- A mascot that smokes and drinks?

That's a main character in the novel POOKOO by Doug Shiloh. And the origins of Lenny the Lobster arrive in the newly released mp3 "The 6-Foot Lobster", out in advance format on CDBaby. Within the next week, the single should be on iTunes and Amazon, and a host of digital outlets. The initial price is $1.29.

The funny-yet sad tale "single" of Lenny the Lobster clocks in just under 8 minutes (7.56 to be exact). The "book single" is a new idea for audiobooks.

"It's seven seconds shorter than 'Stairway to Heaven' by Led Zeppelin, and you've never heard this one," Shiloh cracked. "I'd appreciate anyone downloading it.

"The audio book of "POOKOO" can be summed up in 'The 6-Foot Lobster'," Shiloh said. "It sets the tone for the rest of the book, and gives you a good idea of what it's about - and the quality of the recording."

The audio book was recorded at Underground Squirrel Studios, and was read by Shiloh himself. The project was engineered by Midwest musician Micky Rosenquist.
