John J. O’Malley Appointed to Board of Directors of Women Organized Against Rape

Oct. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- PHILADELPHIA (October 21, 2013) – Volpe and Koenig, P.C., an intellectual property (IP) law firm with offices in Philadelphia, Pa. and Princeton, N.J., announced that Shareholder John J. O’Malley (http://vklaw.com/people/john-j-omalley-2/) was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of Women Organized Against Rape (http://www.woar.org) (WOAR), serving a three-year term for the Philadelphia-based non-profit organization.  WOAR was founded in 1971 to eliminate all forms of sexual violence through specialized treatment services, comprehensive prevention education programs, and advocacy for the rights of victims of sexual assault.

In addition to his involvement in WOAR, O’Malley currently serves as co-vice president of the Irish-American Business Chamber Network’s (IABCN) Board of Directors, and is involved in the Brehon Law Society, International Trademark Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Philadelphia Intellectual Property Law Association, and Irish Immigration Center of America.  He concentrates his practice on advising clients on strategies for building brands and developing and protecting U.S. and international trademark portfolios.  O’Malley earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law, and his B.A, cum laude, in political science from George Washington University.
