Chicago Beer Hoptacular Excites Tastebuds this November

Oct. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- The Chicago Beer Hoptacular (http://www.conciergepreferred.com/chicago-festivals/5377-chicago-beer-hoptacular-2013.html) returns to Chicago this November 8-9 for its fourth year as Chicago's premiere beer festival. Lacuna Artist Loft Studios at 2150 S. Canalport Ave. hosts the event each night at 6 p.m. as over 60 craft breweries gather to celebrate local brews. International varieties are also on tap as participants and leaders mill and share stories of craft and home brewing success. Music and food, and a popular vote to elect the best beers in the show, will round out this fun Chicago fall event.

The Beer Hoptacular starts as participants receive their souvenir sample glass to take around to different stalls with beers on tap. Voting for the Beer Hoptacular Beer of the Year also begins from the moment participants walk through Lacuna Artist Studio's doors. Participants take scorecards from beer stall to beer stall in search of that most thirst-quenching brew to crown as this year's most refreshing.

2012's Beer of the Year winners who will be back for a potential reprise this year include 5 Lizard, which is a Latin style Witbier from Bedford, IL, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, which is an American Strong Ale from Lexington KY, and the Art of Darkness Ale, which is a Belgian Strong Dark Ale from Brewery Ommegang out of Copperstown, NY.

For anyone interested in home brewing the Beer Hoptacular will prove a great resource, as audience-goers are encouraged to ask questions and learn how a great beer is made. Beer experts and local artisans are on hand to sample their wares and share their knowledge one on one.

The first session is Friday, November, 8 at 6 p.m., the second and third are both on November 9, at 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. respectively.
