Dougall McCorkle of Premier Commercial, Inc. represents buyer for Uptown Center

NAPLES, Fla. - Oct. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- An undisclosed private investor purchased the 75,000 square foot Uptown Center in North Naples for $11.2 million. The neighborhood shopping center is located next to Sam’s Club at the southwest corner of Immokalee Road and Airport Road. The center has been a popular destination for the neighboring communities and is anchored by several popular restaurants and shops, including Jason’s Deli, CiCi’s Pizza, Fred’s, and Pelican Larry’s.

The buyer was represented by Dougall McCorkle of Premier Commercial Inc. and the seller was represented by David Stevens of IPC.  McCorkle, spokesperson for the buyer said, “We are thrilled to have Uptown Center as our client’s first acquisition in the local Naples market, as the center has always been one the best positioned retail centers in the area.”

The seller was an affiliate of Halstatt Holdings, a real estate fund managed by the Barron Collier Companies. Stevens reports Halstatt saw the sale as a strategic effort to capitalize on the recent resurgence in the local commercial real estate market.
