Follow on Google News | ![]() Joshua’s Heart returns to Gulfstream Middle School with Generation OnIn the Spirit of Giving, Generation On created Family Fun Day to encourage and teach philanthropy in a family group setting. This week families will take part in a major give back program for preselected families at Gulfstream Middle School.
By: Joshua's Heart Foundation Who: Joshua’s Heart Foundation, Generation On, Disney & Friends for Change, Walmart, Embassy Suites, First Care Home Services and Health Foundation of South Florida. What: Family Volunteer Day. JHF and friends will distribute a week’s worth of groceries to 100 pre-selected families from Gulfstream Middle School. Additionally, they will create and distribute 100 hope boxes for the homeless. Why: Family Volunteer Day, a signature Points of Light day of service, demonstrating and celebrating the power of families who volunteer together, supporting their neighborhoods, communities and the world. For 22 years, Family Volunteer Day has been held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving to "kick-off" the holiday season with giving and service. This year Family Volunteer Day is being powered by Generation On and sponsored by Disney & Friends For Change, a global initiative that inspires kids and families to take action to help people, communities and the planet. When: This weekend on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 11:30am to 1:30pm. Where: Gulfstream Middle School – Hallandale Beach, FL. About Joshua’s Heart Foundation Joshua’s Heart Foundation, a 501(c) 3 non-for-profit organization, empowers, needy people to improve their quality of life.
