Georgia Trend magazine sent questionnaires to thousands of lawyers and via their website, inviting all Georgia lawyers to participate, asking them to nominate the attorneys they considered to be the best in 10 different practice area categories. Once the ballots were counted, attorney David M. Van Sant was recognized as one of Georgia’s top lawyers.

Georgia Trend’s top attorneys as selected by their peers have used the same methodology for years. They also put a ballot on their website, georgiatrend.com, which can be downloaded or submitted online.

The names of the top vote recipients will appear in Georgia Trend’s 11th annual listing of Georgia’s Legal Elite. The listings are determined solely be an attorney’s votes; an attorney cannot pay for a place on a list, nor is placement on the list tied into paid advertising. Ballots were tallied and names were verified by Georgia Trend’s editorial staff.
