River View Ford Celebrates the Holiday Season with Their Annual Sleigh Ride Event

Dec. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- River View Ford is inviting the local community to their dealership for an afternoon of holiday fun. On December 14, families can stop by River View Ford’s annual sleigh ride event (http://www.riverviewford.com/sleigh-ride-event-2013/) between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., children can have their photo taken with Santa. Families can also take a sleigh ride around the neighborhood between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and there will also be gifts for the children.

In addition to the sleigh ride event, River View Ford is also running its annual canned food drive. The dealership is encouraging individuals to assist them by donating items that will be given to a local food pantry.

The annual sleigh ride event is not the only way that River View Ford is involved in the community. The dealership is dedicated to giving back (http://www.riverviewford.com/community/), and has helped a wide range of deserving organizations during 2013.

Earlier this year, River View Ford hosted a Drive 4 UR School fundraiser at Oswego East High School. For each test drive, Ford donated $20 to the school. Money raised from the Drive 4 UR School event helped support athletics and other extracurricular activities at the high school.

This last summer, the dealership also held a USO BBQ for the troops in July. Funds generated from this event helped military families, deployed troops, ill or injured troops, those wounded in action, and the families of fallen soldiers.

River View Ford is a proud supporter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Illinois, as well. The dealership collected donations in an effort to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes. The Ford Motor Company is the biggest global sponsor of JDRF and has been supporting this organization since 1983.
