ShockFest 2014 Nominates Omega 1 for Best Web Series

LOS ANGELES - Jan. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Nominees for best Web Series/Episodic at the 8th Annual ShockFest Film Festival include motion comic series Omega 1, created by and starring the voices of actress/stuntwoman Alina Andrei (Fast and Furious 7, Transformers) and composer/director Mark Edward Lewis (The Gauntlet, Reverb). Lewis is also nominated in the Editing category for Omega 1.

Omega 1 follows the adventures of a genetically enhanced she-weapon in a post-hacker world-war future. Unaware of her true identity, Omega must piece together her past to uncover the conspiracy for global control orchestrated by those who raised her.

Already a sell-out print comic at Stan Lee’s Comikaze and at Comic Cons nationwide since its release in 2012, Omega 1 is also a pioneer in the motion comic genre. Andrei and Lewis will join a panel of ShockFest writers and share insights into adapting screenplays for comic book and motion comic platforms at the Raleigh Studios event.
