Pluris Valuation Advisors Names Henry Vice President

NEW YORK - Jan. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- NEW YORK, N.Y., Jan. 13, 2014 – Pluris Valuation Advisors, LLC today announced that Steven D. Henry, MAI of Placentia, Calif., a nationally recognized expert in valuing complex real estate, has joined the firm as Vice President in Pluris’ Newport Beach, Calif., office.

Henry has valued commercial portfolios with estimated values up to $15 billion that include some of the best-known properties in Southern California.  He has experience valuing complex real estate, ranging from one of the largest malls on the West Coast to 2,600 miles of railroad right-of-way.  Henry also adds to the firm’s expertise in portfolio valuation, and estate and gift tax valuation, having completed valuations of assets for homebuilding companies, a portfolio of master-planned subdivisions containing more than 30,000 units and an apartment portfolio containing more than 20,000 units.

As Vice President, Henry (http://www.pluris.com/steven-henry-mai) will help develop the Newport Beach office.  He brings experience building teams, managing large engagements and working with financial modeling.  According to Pluris President Espen Robak, “With our newly-formed Real Estate Appraisal Group (http://www.pluris.com/real-estate-property-appraisal), we are now well positioned to expand our service offerings to our existing estate and gift tax, and portfolio valuation clients.”

Henry previously served as Managing Director of the Los Angeles office of Lee & Associates in Irvine, where he was responsible for preparing real estate appraisals, feasibility studies, rent analyses and market studies of commercial property in the Los Angeles area.

Before joining Lee & Associates, Henry was a Senior Vice President with FMV Opinions, Inc. in Irvine, where he was responsible for business development and work flow operations, and oversaw valuation of and consulting for complex, high-value properties.  He also served as a Senior Associate at Ashwill Associates Commercial Real Estate in City of Industry, Calif.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona.  He is a member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and is a Certified General Appraiser in 11 states, including California and New York.  He serves on the Board of Directors of Lambda Alpha International, the honorary society for the advancement of land economics.
