Morgan & Morgan Announces Best Loading Overtime Lawsuit on Behalf of Unloaders and Lumpers

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Jan. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- Lopez v. Best Loading Services, Inc., a lawsuit involving allegations of unpaid overtime wages and violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), has been filed as a collective action in federal court in Tennessee. The Plaintiffs in this action, represented by Andrew Frisch of Morgan & Morgan, are Unloaders, Lumpers, and Freight Handlers who claim that they did not receive proper overtime compensation for overtime hours worked.

Lopez v. Best Loading Services, Inc. (Case Number: 2:2014cv02053) was filed in the Western District of Tennessee. The presiding judge is Judge S. Thomas Anderson.

In this collective action lawsuit, the Unloaders, (also referred to as Lumpers or Freight Handlers) allege that Best Loading violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) by failing to properly compensation them for overtime hours. Instead, the lawsuit alleges that Best Loading paid them solely by production (by the truck) without any additional compensation when they worked over 40 hours in a work week.
