CLEVELAND, January 28, 2014 – Ballet in Cleveland will present Master Ballet Classes taught by nationally recognized stars of the television series Breaking Pointe that airs on the CW network.

Allison DeBona, Rex Tilton and Christopher Ruud of Ballet West, the company featured in Breaking Pointe will lead classes on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Gund Dance Studio, PlayhouseSquare 1375 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44115.

DeBona, Tilton and Ruud will lead a day of ballet instruction for students age 8 to adult that include a jump and turn workshop and pas de deux class for more advanced students. After each class, students will enjoy a Q&A and autograph session with the instructors. All participants will receive autographed headshots, a group photo, and an exclusive poster of Allison DeBona, printed especially for Ballet in Cleveland from Grishko.

CLASS DETAILS:

Dancers ages 8-12:

(An intermediate level of ballet training is required)

12:00pm - 1:00pm | Ballet Technique Class

1:00pm - 1:45pm | Jump and Turn Workshop

1:45pm - 2:15pm | Q&A/Autograph Session with the dancers

Dancers ages 13 and up:

(Dancers should demonstrate an advanced level of ballet training)

4:30pm - 6:00pm | Ballet Technique Class

6:15pm - 7:15pm | Pas de Deux Class

7:15pm - 7:45pm | Q&A/Autograph Session with the dancers

CLASS FEES:

The cost of the class is $55.00 per person. There is also a $5.00 registration fee. Partial payments will not be accepted. Class size is limited. The total payment of $60.00 per person is due at the time of registration.

SPECIAL "Guys Dance Too" – FREE Classes!

A NEW 2014 Ballet in Cleveland Program

This very special initiative from Ballet in Cleveland aims to inspire young male dancers to pursue ballet through providing access to instruction and discussion with exceptional male professional ballet dancers.  The class is FREE to all male dancers of all ages and ability levels.  All participants in the Guys Dance Too program receive a free "Guys Dance Too" t-shirt.

3:00pm - 4:00pm | Guys only class with Christopher and Rex

4:00pm - 4:15pm | Q&A/Autograph Session with the dancers, and special 'Men in Dance' video presentation
