Wavetec participated at the SME launch of a key report on the “State of SMEs in Dubai.”

Feb. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Dubai, UAE:  A key report on the “State of SME’s in Dubai” was launched on the 27^th of January, 2014 which is basically a first of its kind report following a survey of 500 SME’s across various sectors along with a financial analysis of around 300 SME’s. Wavetec’s General Manager Mr. Tobias Bessone participated at the SME launch of a key report on the “State of SMEs in Dubai” that aims to provide a multi-dimensional overview and profile of Dubai’s small and medium enterprises. The total contribution of SME’s to Dubai’s GDP stands at around 40% with sector wise break up accounting for 47% of total GDP contribution from trading and with services and manufacturing followed by 41% and 13% respectively.

Mr. Tobias was part of the SME 100 report panel which concluded successfully with a commitment to the SME sector to provide resources and expertise necessary for providing consistent support. He said “Such an initiative is essential to further grow the SME sector and achieve the goals expected of it. Having been ranked # 2 at Top SME 100 companies it is our responsibility to identify gaps and work towards improvement”. He further added “I am confident this report will bring valuable insights to Dubai’s SME sector and will help create future opportunities.”
