Atlantic Foot & Ankle Specialists Acquires Family Podiatry Center

STATESBORO, Ga. - Feb. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- Atlantic Foot & Ankle Specialists, located at 110 Hill Pond Lane, has acquired the assets of Family Podiatry Center , located at 95 Bel-Air Drive as of Feb 6th, 2014. The phone number for Family Podiatry Center, (912) 489-8727, will remain the same.

Dr. Robert W. Cushner, former owner and head podiatrist of Family Podiatry Center will be retiring. Dr. Cushner said, "I'm happy to see that my patients will continue to have uninterrupted podiatric care. With just a phone call all my patients can schedule their visits using the same phone number they have always used, and Atlantic Foot & Ankle will have all of their patient records on hand, to ensure continuity of care. "

Dr. Todd Newsom will assume the primary podiatrist duties at the Bel-Air Drive office.  Dr. Newsom has been in private practice with his wife, Dr. Melissa Robitaille, in the Savannah area for over ten years. In addition, patients should now feel free to be seen by Dr. Libby Putnam, another doctor of Atlantic Foot & Ankle Specialists, at their location on Hill Pond Lane in Statesboro.

Atlantic Foot & Ankle Specialists has made recent expansions in their practice, opening new office locations, as well as the purchase of new, higher quality equipment to better serve patients. This recent technology has allowed them to treat traditionally stubborn conditions, like toenail fungus and plantar warts, without the need for potentially damaging oral medications.

Patients can now be seen at either the Bel-Air Drive office on Mondays and Wednesdays or at the Hill Pond Lane office Tuesday through Friday. Patients may make an appointment by calling 489-3668 to be scheduled at either Statesboro office.
