St. Croix Chamber of Commerce Announces 2014 Board of Directors

Meet the 2014 St. Croix Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors

VICKI BANDOLA is an Account Executive with Marshall & Sterling Insurance. She began her insurance career in southern Indiana in 1976.  Since moving to St. Croix in 1999, she has formed personal and professional relationships with many members of the community and local organizations. She previously served on the Board of Directors of the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce from 2005 to 2007 and 2010 to 2012. She has served on many Chamber committees and actively engaged in many Chamber activities and events, volunteering for monthly Business After Hours, Business Luncheons, and the annual Business and Professional Excellence Awards Gala. She has served as Chair of the Events Committee, scheduling and coordinating the Business After Hours events, as well as helping coordinate the Business for Breakfast meetings. In addition to her involvement with the Chamber, Vicki is active with the St. Croix Hotel & Tourism Association, Christiansted Restaurant & Retail Association and St. George Village Botanical Garden. She previously served on the board of the St. Croix Yacht Club and was their Commodore in 2007 and 2008.

EDGAR BENGOA (Treasurer) moved to the Virgin Islands with his parents in 1972 at the age of 5. He graduated from St. Peter and Paul in St. Thomas in 1985. He attended DeVry Institute of Technology and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineer in 1988. He Worked for Gentry Associates as a Field Service Engineer and was promoted to senior Engineer in 1991. In the summer on 1993 he relocated to St. Croix to open Bengoa’s Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration. Specializing in Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration Auto A/C and Supply store.

BRIAN BLASCHKA is the managing partner of IBP LLC, a manufacturer’s representation company supporting the resort, commercial, golf and high end residential construction industries throughout the entire Caribbean. IBP, LLC represents Watertronics: complete water management, R/O, filtration pumping solutions and level monitoring; Sky Harvester: water catchment, filtration, distribution and complete monitoring; J.Gibson McIlvain: exotic hardwoods and construction lumber; Lamboo: engineered Bamboo for construction; SureBond: concrete sealers and industrial adhesives. Brian serves on the AYSO Board of Directors, is a USVI U17 Soccer National team coach, co-director of AYSO flex/travel soccer teams and the parent of two St. Croix Country Day students.
